Our story
It started with

Triumph started in 2022 with eight players and a simple belief: youth basketball could put development first.

From one small group to a program.
What began as a small group grew into Triumph Hoops Academy, officially established in 2023, now serving more than 150 athletes through training, developmental basketball and competitive teams.
Today that's roughly twelve team environments — nine established AAU and travel teams, plus three developmental teams playing primarily in a local Niles league — alongside weekly and Sunday training that stays open to players who are brand new to the game.
Triumph has won championships and tournaments along the way. We're proud of them, and we also know what they are: the product of dedication, development, teamwork and preparation. That's the order we keep them in.

What we believe
Compete hard. Develop harder.
Development doesn't mean the absence of competition. It means competition that's worth something to the player standing in it.
Winning matters
We play to win. But at these ages, winning should usually be a product of quality development — not the whole reason a program exists.
Relationships last longer
Coaches who know a player — how they learn, what they're scared of, what they're capable of — do more for them over four years than any single season's record.

The founders
Two Niles West guys.
Both Triumph founders played four years of basketball at Niles West High School, and between them they bring more than 25 years of combined coaching experience. That local history is a big part of why the Niles West Junior Wolves feeder program sits under Triumph today.
